2 SIRIUS ADVANCE 3200KVA FOR A HYDROELECTRIC PLANT IN GHANA

2 SIRIUS ADVANCE 3200KVA FOR A HYDROELECTRIC PLANT IN GHANA

THE CUSTOMER

Hydroelectric plant in Ghana.

THE NEED

The client’s hydroelectric plant suffered from voltage fluctuations and overloading of the MV/LV transformer.

OUR SOLUTION

The solution identified by Ortea solved both of the customer’s problems. In fact, two 3200kVA ±20% Sirius Advance model voltage stabilisers were implemented.

These, installed downstream of the MV/LV transformers, significantly increase the power quality of the plant as they combine the function of voltage stabilisers with that of power factor correction systems, thus avoiding fluctuations and overloading of the MV/LV transformer with consequent risks of secondary voltage distortion.

Furthermore, as standard, these machines are equipped with the total protection kit, which includes: input circuit breaker, by-pass switch with interlocked circuit breaker and motorised interlocked circuit breaker at the output. All in a single piece of equipment.
