The new terminal of a large international airport in the Persian Gulf, one of the largest development projects in the area, is being built on an area of 180,000 square meters. Thanks to the new boarding areas, the airport will be able to handle 25 million passengers per year.
As part of this strategic project for the area, Ortea Next provided the Main Contractor with Icar by Ortea Next branded automatic power factor correction systems for a total of 43MVAR, to improve the power quality of the terminal and parking lots. The supplied solutions have state-of-the-art features both in terms of electrical performance and remote control capability, thanks to Ortea Next’s established experience in designing and implementing power factor correction systems.
