APPLICATION AREAS
The insertion of isolation transformers is necessary in installations for medical and surgical rooms where the functions of monitoring and patient care are entrusted to the use of specific electro-medical equipment, where the automatic and sudden interruption of service could cause serious inconvenience.
Ortea’s switchboards represent the solution for all rooms for medical use, classified by the CEI 64-8 Part 7 Chapter 710 standard as group 2 rooms, such as surgical and anaesthesia rooms, operation preparation rooms and post-operative awakening rooms, rooms for intensive care and for angiographic and haemodynamic examinations, etc., where service continuity is necessary and can be implemented through the use of the switchboard that realises the IT-M system.
THE ISME SWITCHBOARD: TECHNICAL FEATURES
Ortea’s ISME (Isolated Supply For Medical Equipment) switchboards are available for 10kVA power and are equipped with isolation transformers with internal probes for temperature detection and an insulation and winding temperature monitoring system.
The switchboard is prepared for the installation of several remote signalling panels with luminous and acoustic fault indicators, specifically designed to signal alarms caused by low insulation, electrical and thermal overloads in IT-M network systems.
